This application supports clinical decision-making and serves as an effective tool for asthma self-monitoring and reporting. By automating and digitizing manual processes, Peflog alleviates the burden on healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, by simplifying the export, transformation, presentation, and transmission of essential data for asthma monitoring and diagnosis. As a parent of four, I found traditional PEF monitoring methods to be cumbersome, time-consuming, and prone to errors. My attempts to utilize paper methods with my children were unsuccessful. This inspired me to develop the Peflog app, aiming to make asthma tracking swift and straightforward for families.
